Probably our last hunt of the season today. That last pic is what we have to go through every time it’s time to go home. Mr. D is doing great. They don’t do as well together so I take him separately. He’s not the hunter Jenny is but we don’t care.

Not every Brittany likes woodcock. I have a friend who lives in south Louisiana and he has a pair of Brittany's that are bad news on the woodcock and I carried a Brittany that was a solid Texas quail dog down to hunt with him and he would not even hunt the birds. But he did find a covey of quail that they had never found before so I wasn't too ashamed of him for treating the timberdoodles like trash birds.

 My 10 yo Britt doesn’t even like to point pen raised birds anymore.
