Looking for a year round lease in these counties, wanting to have the option of bringing family. Mason, Menard, Brady triangle would be idea. Deer, Turkey, Pigs, Ducks, Dove, Exotics(currently have an Axis population) and varmints would be good. Deer are the priority! Currently have a group in Mills county that have hunted the same land since 99, land owner is "considering" a price increase. Our older members are not having it.

Looking for at least water and electricity, we will improve camp and property working with the owner to improve the land for hunting and whatever purposes the landowner needs. Example is we built a low water crossing on this place, built a skinning shed, built a porch and restrooms on the camp house. All things that have made it better for us, but will last far beyond our years on the place.

We will work with rancher/farmer to build a long term relationship to improve deer and all wildlife quality. Currently we feed 4 tons of protein 4 times a year and keep hunting locations feeding year round. We would want to keep that going on a new place. Obviously within reason for the acreage.

Mason, Brady, Menard would be the center of our search area. Our group travels from McKinney, Waco and College Station.

you've currently got Axis and many improvements made. How big of an increase are you talking about?

How many price increases have you had since 1999? You know your landowner will not have any trouble finding hunters. The area you are interested in will not be cheap. Just saying....good luck.

No kidding. The “older members that ain’t having it” are fixing to screw up your deer lease. I’d tell them older members to pound sand & find more guys to fill those spots. Y’all are gonna be paying WAY more for different spot, that’s if you can even find a lease.

Yep, tell the old guys to review their Economics 101 notes - the chapter on Supply and Demand.

An old guy told me “it’s easier to find a virgin, than a good hunting lease”

Tell me more about your current lease sounds like a solid place.

I see the line outside the gate waiting to pay the price increase. If you like the place and it fits YOUR budget, I would be looking to fill the spots of those that don't.
