This was delivered for my garage pad. Sure seems like a lot of clay. What do y'all think?

Red clay has more sand in it I think, at least ours here seems to vs black gumbo crap to the East.
I don't think it will matter tho if you pack it and wet it, pack again, then add a layer of sand on top, then crete.
If at first you dont succeed, then skydiving is not for you..

It has to have clay in it to act as a binder so that when it's compacted it will stay together. Take a handful and squeeze it into a ball. If it stays together but can still be "crumbled" it's ok. Anyone who sells select fill should have had it tested for acceptable plasticity.

My concern was the large clumps, slamming them on the ground doesn't break them up. The finer stuff seems OK. Guess the skidsteer can pulverize them.
