Hi guys and gals. Newbie here. I realize that on a large share of private land in TX, hunting rights are leased out to others.
How does a party of 4 from South Dakota go about looking for opportunities for some first-timer, bucket list, hawg hunting on private land in the northern-central part of the great Republic of Texas?

Check the classifieds we have a few hog hunting outfitters on here some even do thermal night hunts

I offer hog hunts in Fredrickburg, TX if interested! $200 a day per person unlimited hogs or $300 a day if you’d like to thermal hog hunt. 979-541-3214

Sorry guys, Fredrickburg and Seguin aren't in N. Central TX.
Any means other than paying outfitters? Costs us plenty just for gas, food and lodging. We're not well-to-do... we're just country boys who dream big!

You might find someone willing to trade a Texas hog hunt for a South Dakota bird hunt if you offered that up.

You might find someone willing to trade a Texas hog hunt for a South Dakota bird hunt if you offered that up. This is a good start. ^^^^^^^ You're just probably not going to find a free hog hunt. You will find places that charge day fees and provide free camping or cheap bunkhouse use and let you hunt on your own. Some good hunts offered in the outfitter section, you may be surprised what all is involved in taking hogs consistently. A few hundred dollars would get you on a place with patterned hogs, if that's possible, stands to use if wanted and feeders if wanted. You should inquire with some of the hunts offered here and talk about what you are looking for. sent you a pm
