Got some family coming in for a wedding in a few weeks. Need a great restaurant to take them to. mid to upper price is fine.

Go to Rick's downtown...it’s a good place to go that’s a little on the nicer side. Their filets are delicious and the pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla is pretty hard to beat.

Ricks is probably the best choice.
Depending on where your family is from the original Huchins BBQ might be a treat for them.
Not exactly "nice" but not a dump especially since the remodel.

I have always enjoyed Harvest, a farm to table place. when me and the wife go to McKinney, we make it a point to eat there.

Whiskey Cake is pretty good. Everything they use comes from Texas. Not McKinney but tollway and Parker, pretty close.
