I plan on buying two or three after duck season. Thinking a mallard, a teal and possibly a woodie.

Which do you prefer and why?

Rogers is having a big sale on a lucky duck twin set. I believe you get a drake and hen mallard for what it's worth.

I prefer therealdecoy.com for movement. More realistic and good prices on their stuff.

Best one/deal I've found, got 2 and they've been better than any mojo I've ever used....

Get a teal for early teal season and call it good. Other types of decoys (pulsators, wonder ducks, ect.) will be way more productive during regular season than spinning wing decoys.

If the trigger is gold, the birds will fold.

I use spinning wing decoys year around and have success. I prefer Lucky Duck over the Mojo. Even though I do want to try the flock a flicker by Mojo on a big spread while running traffic.

I got 2 lucky ducks 3 years ago. Both rattled bad from the wing vibration. One crapped out on me so I baught 2 mojos "twin pair" special. They are far more quiet than the loud lucky ducks. Next I installed the remote with 2 receivers. I believe you should have control to stop the spinning as ducks approach. I also think they work great at times but not others. Last year late dec/early Jan I had birds landing on top of the darn things.

So... Mojos...yes but with remotes to control them.

Depends on how you use them. If you are running traffic and trying to pull birds from long distance spinners. Motion decoys if you need help getting them to finish.

we hunt teal on a 3/4-1 acre open pasture tank near a creek. We pass shoot woodies, teal and the occasional gadwall on the creek. Then our other location is hunting a 5 acre long pond in tall pines, rectangle that’s 1 acre wide, we drain and plant an acre at each end in millet/smartweed. In the past have shot teal, woodies, gadwall and mergansers.

I have had all three and I have had issues with all three. I made my own motion decoys that work fairly well and have 2 lucky duck decoys that can flap or spin that I bought pre season. Both receivers and a battery went out and I emailed lucky duck and received the new ones today. Higdon was responsive as well but their pulsator went out twice so I made my own.

You guys mojos are overrated, real duck hunters just use black painted jugs.

I have tried a Wonderduck and swimmers by the Real Decoy Co. and have them clog with grass. It takes only a small amount to stop paddles/props. Is there anything like these that operates in an environment with a small amount of grass?

I won't ever buy another mojo product after I got 2 lucky ducks mallard spinners last year. Night and day difference in the quality.
