I’ve wanted a bow for the past year, had some things come up and just haven’t got one yet

Real quick...

I had a bow when I was around 15-16 which was over 20 years ago.

I want to go used and stay in the $450 range that bow sights and release. I will buy the arrows and broad heads seperate

I’ve been checking Craigslist regularly and I see a lot of Bear and PSE in this range often less

Should I stay away from those? Are they trash?

I want a Hoyt but rarely run across them used

What would y’all recommend in my range?

If buying a used ow have someone check it out at a shop. Alos look on Archerytalk website there are sometimes good deals there.

On Bear and PSE some are good bows but sometimes when models change you can get new higher end bows from them new at used or below pricing. I have sold 900.00 bear bows for 400 in the past

Initially I was wanting to hit Cinnamon Creek Ranch bow shop and I still may I bet they are a little higher on used

Just some of the deals of CL seem good. That’s where I see all the PSE and Bear

A friend at work has a Diamond, I think that’s what it’s called. I don’t see them for sale used either. But I think he wants to upgrade

The diamond bows are good. They are made by Bowtech. Archery Talk classifieds have some good deals on top end used bows.

Save a little more and got a new top of the line Mission or a the budget mathews at a pro shop. then it will be a great bow, set up correctly with a lifetime warranty. Any extra expense will be more than off set buy having a bow set up correctly. Also it dont have to be a Mathews/Mission, the same advice applies for other new bow brands. Your dill says you are in Wise county, look at cinnamon creek and gateway archery

Parker’s going out of business. Their bows are half off I believe.

Go to Nock It Archery on 287 in Decatur. He has bows you can shoot before buying.

Why don't we have time to do things right the first time, but always have time to do things over, and over, and over?
