Will ponds freeze up Sunday or Monday? I think we are safe. Im guessing all sheetwater in fields will freeze up, but ponds will be ok due to: 1. A couple of 70 degree weather days prior to Saturday night big freeze 2. Gusts of 25-30 mph winds to retain ponds open What say you?

It should be fine. The models keep toying with a major winter storm middle to end of next week (23-25th). Looks like the season will end with some fun weather this weekend and next at least.

I say your analysis is correct. Edges of the north end of the pond might start to ice up, but should mainly stay open.

I hope it freezes the small water. I have a lake that when it freezes goes from 50 to 1000s every time.
