Was interesting.
Defenitely new birds.
Had about 50 gaddies and 50 green in total this morning, buzzing around me 70 yards up, refusing to decoy due to zero wind.
Had to use the ‘don’t land there ugly call’ to draw em back in.
Finally about 7 made it in from 8:30 till 10 am and shot my limit.
3 twelve packs of green were feet down 30 yards up, but 70 yards away.
Defenitely educated decoy shy, call shy birds.
Pulled 8 decoys out of the 12 and disconnected pulsators. Seemed to work better after that.
The field was awesome. A flooded milo slough 20 yards wide but 300 yards long.
It was hard to compete with the 12 live birds 100 yards to my right.
When I moved to my right and shot 1, 10 green landed in my decoys to my left now. bang
No wind made them circle 10 times like freaking pintails prior to a one wheel down semi landing.
The cloud cover saved me. Overal, another awesome day up

Nice! Glad the birds are finally here. I'm gonna go gas up the boat.

If they landed in your spread after you left there could only be one problem

Word!

You see my hide out in the first photo.
I know for a fact, when they circled behind me, they partially saw me.
It was a new spot for me so i thought it was going to be extremely sloppy muddy for a lay out, even contemplating bringing the sled out to lay in it...

It ended being not at all.

I might try it Sunday with a lay out blind this time! Breaking ice? With field mallards on a stick ? bang
