Anyone ever hunt up in ND?

My company just picked up an account in Fargo ND. I've had to send a few of my Team members there.

Got me to thinking what hunting like in that area.

Yes. I have hunted waterfowl northeast of Bismarck. Lots of lots of places to hunt and generally easy to get permission. Note... land technically has to be posted to be off limits.

If you go now you will be up there in the freeze out while all the ducks are finally starting to show up here.

You probably need to go to Devils Lake to get into top-notch waterfowl hunting. North Dakota does have a spring snow goose season.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I hunted in October near Minot. Have a son in the Air Force there. We did pretty good on some potholes in large cut wheat fields. Lots of snow geese around us ,but, we were not set up for them. Had a few Canada decoys in our spread and was able to pick up a few single Canadas that came in. As someone posted earlier, if it is not posted, within 400 yards of building or dwelling, or no unharvested crop, it is legal to hunt. My son has been there six years and said when the potholes start freezing, the ducks leave pretty quick.

Have pudelpointer... will travel. Duck mornings and ditch chicken afternoons. Shiner evenings... just throwin' it out there.
