I need to get a range card for a couple guns and will need to get an app tomorrow

Here’s what I have , what else do I need?

6.5 creed , Hornady 147, 22” barrel 1/8

2641,2644,2603,2647 are the speeds ( which one? Average? Use the 3 closest?)

223, Hornady 60 vmax, 16” barrel 1/8.

Average is what you typically use.

Atmospherics
Zero range
Height of centerline of scope from centerline of bore
Tracking error if any
Avg velocity to 500 at those starting velocities . Tweak bullet BCs from there out to get actual DOPE to line up.

Really? The .223 is hand loads? Those velocities are all over the show. And the factory ammo is doing all the good, if you throw out the one anomaly.

I sure still like "Shooter Ballistics". Had it for years, easy to add rifles and loads, easy to read corrections. You can have a screen that is only giving data for the specific distance you're currently using, or swipe right and get a chart, in increments, as close together as you set it for (25 yards for me) and it'll go out as far as you tell it to.

Also, jbmballistics.com is a very good one, on the PC. Once you've got confirmation you can have it spit out a chart, and it will directly transfer to Excel for printing.

You have almost a 100 FPS difference in your .223 loads. What kind of powder are you using? Are you using a scale, and if so, are you sure it's in good working order? I've loaded thousands of rounds, and might see a 10-20 FPS difference the rare time there is one.

I bought the ammo and just recently got to put it under radar. Not sure of the powder as it was provided. I might be able to name the powder if I heard it again.

Sort of. Sounds like he bought some reloads that have varying charges. I wish I was closer to help.

Nothing to be confused about. I bought this ammo tuned to my gun( I don’t reload). I went to the range with a lab radar ( first time using)I don’t have a ballistic app. Before I punch in the numbers in an app, I want to make sure I know all the questions that I’ll need to know to punch it In accurately. I guess my numbers/spread is “not good”. This is all I know. Josh303 answered my ? And I have the info I need now
