Can it be done with no clogging? Will be mixing 1000 pounds of pellets to 500 pounds of WCS prior to filling

Feeder: 1500# Lamco

I've never tried it but I'd imagine you will have problems with clumping. Why not just use a cottonseed basket next to your protein feeder? That way the deer can eat what they need when they choose to.

We feed a lot of cotton seed to our livestock, and I'm in the camp with Fouzman and Mr. T. I don't think you can run it through a protein feeder very easily. IMO you're borrowing trouble.

You might be able to get away with it if it was delinted. Still fuzzy, not a chance.

Trying to figure out a way for it to last longer than a week or two (500 lbs every 7-12 days in a basket)

May increase the spinner plate gap and give a 1-1 bag mix a try once my feeder is empty. Will give a follow up in March

Only delinted seed I know of would be planting seed and that is treated. It will be tested for germination and vigor before delinted.

Put in more basket to put cottonseed in? It is much cheaper than protein pellets.

Yep I guess that'll have to work until I design my own cottonseed broadcast feeder.

Build a bigger cage for the cottonseed. Use the water tote baskets or take some hog panels and make something like the picture below. The owner says it holds about 2-3k lbs.
