Nothing new. No recoverable bullet so they got away with it I guess. We’ll have more cameras up in the future.

Sorry to hear that, I am dealing with one or more now Found one of their shooting places, it is on the west side of my food plot about half way up a good spot to see the whole field and feeder, have a camera close by now. My neighbor found a poachers marker 50 yards from his feeder, it is bad in N. Jack county

I guarantee you one thing, with the price of Thermals coming down, you will have a new level of poaching where the biggest nocturnal bucks will be shot for profit. It is already happening I can assure you. While we sleep they are out there.

Thermals and a suppressed rifle will make it hard to catch them. When you say shot for profit, where would one sell a 170 rack and for how much?

It is already happening I can assure you. While we sleep they are out there. That goes both ways, too. With the proliferation of cellular game cameras and now thermals, poachers won't necessarily know who's watching or when. I think a couple of new drones with thermal are coming to market as well.

Happened in the 1980s down in deep South Texas, huge night poaching ring was cracked. They were using suppressed ARs, night optics and even had fabricated cow hoofed shoes to try and conceal their activities. Supposedly they were cutting through high fenced ranches and shooting massive bucks with hunting clients..If I'm not mistaken, this was in the mid 1980s and ATF or DEAs even infiltrated the racket posing as paying hunting clients. Was a pretty unbelievable and sophisticated racket for 35+ years ago..

Stubs, based on what I recall seeing out at your place, looks like your neighbors/leasers are coming in on you from the back or side, not the one also having the problem, but I bet it is the same group of AH hunting REAL close. Not real hard to drive by and see if you're in camp. May even be able to walk your fence and see where they crossed.
If at first you dont succeed, then skydiving is not for you..

Back in the days, in holland, we installed a bicycle lamp in front of the car at night and patrolled that way. Poachers thought a bicycle approaching them for far away on top of the levee and they proceeded with their business. Untill we got closer, and all hell broke loose. A few got shot at with lead.

Sure it still happens today I bet. Then my buddy finds his place is being poached by a video posted on here. Unbelievable what those f'ers will do. Video surveillance must be used by everyone all the time now.
