There's a tank thats loaded with birds every time I drive by it The reason its loaded with duck weed I wish I could get it started in my tank I have dump 3 5 gallon buckets of it in my with no luck

Something about your chemical or nutrient level is off most likely.

Seems like I read it requires decaying wood/timber.. But I would try and get smartweed growing in your tanks.

Just one food plant will get birds there for a short period of time. birds will eat out what they can and move to the next dinner table(pond), use a mix of food plants for long term birds.
