 ATVs/utv safety course

So I got a ticket from the game warden for not having a ATV safety card. I guess Texas doesn’t offer one cuz he mentioned something about going online and doing the Oregon atv safety course.
Has anyone taking this course or know where I can go and get one for Texas?

I was out on a public lake, scouting for ducks. Pulled up on the game warden shoveling a trench to let the water run of the dirt road. Asked if I had my public land sticker, I did. Asked where my safety gear was. I had my gloves on cuz it was cold, but mo helmet. And then asked to see my ATV SAFETY CORSE CARD. got a warning for no safety gear.

Would you have to have one on private land? Do I need a Texas OHV decal when trail riding on private lands? No, unless the land was purchased for use as an OHV park

So I called my local tpwl and verified you can take the Oregon ATV safety course and be legal to ride on public land. Public land that allows ATVs. I believe the lady said it was free. Will check on it tomorrow.

Didn't realize you could ride on public land in TX unless you were handicapped.

Oh yes. Not all public land is ATV accessible. This particular spot I was at was opened for off road vehicle a few years ago when we had the major drought. Just like the spot I can not hunt fur Bering animals. Only migratory birds. Dove,duck, turkey.....
