Hi everyone, I used to do a lot of dove hunting down south in college but haven't hunted in Central Texas in about a decade. But I had a job cancel on me this coming week so now I'm hoping to squeeze in my first bird hunt in a long time maybe this Thursday before the season ends.

Problem is, I'm not up to speed on where the birds are flying or if they are at all. I'd love to do a day lease any where between Austin and Dallas since I plan to meet a friend.

I found this site for day leases in that area: https://www.texasdovehunters.com/dayleasecentralzone

Y'all have any recommendations or warnings? Some of the threads on here seemed to suggest there's not much to shoot right now in the area.

I have had a few late season successful dove hunts. All south or west of San Antonio.
