Just curious if there is any market this season. I googled and in July it seemed they said they weren't selling. Has there been any change? Id like to be able to sell.

Nope. You may find someone to buy the meat.

Dang, its a shame. I just enjoy trapping so much. I know its good for the environment, but gosh its hard for me to just kill and waste them. I set a few traps for a week and have six nice raccoon pelts and would have enjoyed trapping another month or so. Maybe one day.

Last i checked they were worth a couple dollars. They are hard to skin too. I once had a pile of them knee deep from trapping them off my hog traps...the hogs would not touch them....have no idea why.
Just like Jesus, sometimes you gotta kill some hogs. Lone Star Mesquite . com RattleSnake Dan's Shredding Service

No way I'd bother running a trap-line these days. Fur prices have declined so much.
I can well remember the boom days back in the mid 70's to early 80's though.
Even Southern (Coat Coons) # 1 & 2's were bringing $17.00-$25.00 a pelt. Fox and Bobcat...much more.
Haven't seen fur prices worth a flip in the last 20 years (for Southern Pelts). Not worth the effort.

Every weekend he'd have 100 - 150 hanging out on his mom's clothes lines.....he worked hard at it tho...trapped and spot lighting.....

Last i checked they were worth a couple dollars. . . . . ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ either 2 or 3 dollars last i checked too much effort for money that won't even buy a hamburger, not to mention investment for stretchers, space for drying, gloves, etc.

I doubt they’re even worth $3 right now but could be wrong.
Call Greg Novak. Sometimes he visits these forums but is a buyer based out of Corpus that runs a fur route throughout Texas.

I'd dang near pay someone to come trap some of mine. As soon as it dries up some I going to start putting traps out at my protein feeders. I got a bunch of coons..fat ones.
