Good job! The 45-70 is certainly enough gun!

Congrats for a dang nice buck and I love the rifle. Also, good job of making an effort to protect your hearing. I wish I would've been that smart while hunting at your age.

I'm 35 and I've already started to see my hearing slip a bit. After watch my mom go nearly deaf, I'm holding on to as much of my hearing as I can for as long as I can.

Dang, you you pretty sharp for a guy out chasing deer. I always look like I have been drug through the cactus and pulled from the mud by photo time. Maybe try rolling around in the dirt and smearing some blood on your clothes before the camera comes out. All kidding aside, great pictures, and congrats. Haha, me too! It always works out when you least expect it though. My buddy was getting the coals hot for dinner, and I decided just to take a stroll with my 45-70 just for grins. No camo, no scent control, just out for a walk. About 100 yards from the cabin I see this guy walk out from behind a cedar. I threw my plugs in and moved up into the field a bit. He stopped and I got a 55-60 yard shot on him while standing and shooting off hand. Dropped him where he stood. Things like this never happen to me, just got lucky. That is an outstanding, no pun intended, story. Probably never happen again in all your hunting career. You could have easily decided to stay in camp and drink a beer. You went out and scored. Two thumbs up
