Ok who walks to and from there blind? Who rides to/ from the blind ? What do y'all use to cover your cent, and not leave a trail? Anyone wear specific foot wear just to and from the blind?

I drive to the blind. If it is cold my drive is my blind. A lot of folks worry way too much about scent what to wear and a multitude of other stuff when it comes to hunting. And as always this is just my opinion so take it as that.

I try and drive as close to the blind as possible.

Im a 100% believer that i'll scare 10X's more deer off walking to the blind than driving ( in a UTV or Truck )

Most of the blinds I hunt I can park within 100 yards or so of the blind.

as for footwear....the deer on the places I hunt smell plenty of people so i'm not into using a cover scent or specific footwear, I just play the wind right when choosing a stand location

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

All my blinds are within 200 yards of my motor home so I walk. Sometimes use doe scent or fox scent, many times no scent....the deer are used to me working all over the place so they don't usually spook from my ground scent, only if they see me and catch my scent.

Same here. There are many hunters in the area where I hunt in East Texas and the deer catch on quickly that folks are after them. It's the same routine every year with lots of deer seen during the first week or two of the season and then far fewer sightings until very late in the season. That's when things turn back to hot and heavy after the neighbors have given up and allowed their feeders to go empty.

I drive to my area as it is about 4 miles or so from camp. Once I get into my area I park and walk to my stands. Most stands are 300-400 yards with one probably close to a mile but haven't measure that one smile

I drive (UTV) usually to within 100- 200 yards due to bad knees. I'll just leave a little earlier than normal. There is one blind on top of a bluff that I drive all the way up to and park behind a bunch of cedars. In my younger days I would hike in with a drag covered in fox or coon urine.

This year was so wet I ended up riding the 4 wheeler to my best blind. I usually see more deer walking in, however, get there early enough to let things quiet down a bit. More rainfall means less deer sightings for me. Deer are in great shape right now.

MY blind is about 200 yards from my cabin, so I walk. I do not use scent killers or scent control clothing. The prevailing wind on my ranch is southerly and during deer season, northerly. My blind is set up East to West, so there it is extremely rare for the wind to carry my scent from the blind to the deer at the feeder.
I have another blind that is 1/2 mile from the cabin and I drive my truck to a brushy spot that is 125 yards from that blind. This blind is set up to look SE to NW and it is 17' off the ground. I have never had a deer spooked by scent at this blind and It has been in the same spot for 20 years.

Drive my Ranger to my blinds here and walk on my other place. Here I road feed heavily around the feeders and roads/shooting lanes before I get into the blind. One blind I park 25 yards away and the other is about 125 yards away. The one I walk to on my other place is about 350 yard walk but I hand corn as I walk in and around the feeder. I have no problems seeing deer driving in or walking in. I have had as many as 21 bucks and 21 does/fawns around me in one hunt. This evening I had 13 bucks and 5 does/fawns around me with some there within 10 minutes of me corning then getting into the blind. I do the same when rifle or bow hunting. The deer are used to me driving around my place in the Ranger and when they hear the road feeder they are there sometimes before I can get into the blind. I have used a road feeder since 1989.

I canoe to my best blind. I Park at the gate. I have a canoe just inside the gate near a deep creek. I paddle to a canoe dock several 100 yards up the creek. I built the dock using a T post and horse fence frame then filled it with rocks. It is located directly below my tower blind. it is about a 20 ft walk up the bank to the ladder on my blind. I can usually climb into the blind with game under my feeder and not disturb them because I am coming up from below line of site to anything at the feeder.

My blind is my pickup truck!
Back and hip problems have pretty much taken away my ability to walk, so I sit in my nice comfortable warm blind.
Had deer ignore me, and walk right up to my tailgate and take a sniff looking for corn.
The bucks couldn't care less, it's those old grey does that notice me from 200 yards out stretching their necks trying to figure me out.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

We walk. Most of the time we hand feed corn.

I know that the deer can smell where I walk. I have seen on a couple occasions a deer follow my trail down the road at each spot I stopped to throw corn and back as close as they dared to the blind. Hope to have a golf cart some time soon but I suspect they can probably smell that too just a different smell.

We have been trying to feed the roads heavy with a road feeder the day before and that way there is still corn on the ground for the next hunt and we can just walk to the blind and not have to walk past really anything we plan on hunting.

Walk - small lease and it takes 5 to 10 minutes to reach one of 3 blinds.

Drive to within about 100 yards from one stand and to about 30 feet from another.

My blinds are 3/4 and a mile from my camp so I drive. I park my truck 200-300 yards away and walk in the rest of the way.

I have a app on my phone that tracks how far I walk. I usually do a couple miles a day. At the ranch its usually 5-8 miles a day, we enjoy the walk.

I agree with this.I park my Pioneer anywhere from maybe 40 yds to 20 yds from my blind, just enough so it's not plainly in view. I've had deer and hogs come into my arena while the Pioneer was parked in front of the blind. Worry about this for close up archery, not much for rifle hunting.
