What base layers is everyone using? I’m tired of freezing my rear off in the stand. I’ve looked at a few, but according to their sizing chart i wear a small but can’t find a small anywhere. Just curious as to what everyone else is using and how they like it, and also if the fit it true to the sizing chart on the box or not. Thanks in advance

I have been wearing Champion C9 heavyweight a lot at work. They have done a good job at stopping the wind. Our uniform pants are very thin, these base layers help a ton with that cold wind

I went to the Under Armour Factory store by me and ended up getting a shirt and pants today, thanks to their 50% off sale. But will look into all these other suggestions for back ups. Thanks again

Smartwool, Patagonia, FirstLite, Sitka, Kuiu.......the list goes on. Merino wool is what I wear most as a base layer. The Patagonia I have is a silk/merino mix. Kuiu has both a synthetic fabric & merino wool. Their zip-off bottoms are the greatest article of clothing I think I have ever bought. It’s all about layering. NO COTTON.

First Lite merino wool, can't beat it. Second layer go with a medium weight merino. For feet, Kennetrek boot liners and Darn Tough or Smartwool socks.

I have some Core4 merino bottoms and UA Cold Gear evo shirts. That combo works well for me in most situations.

Patagonia or Simms for me. When you stand in 43-46 degree water all day fly fishing you know what works.

It all depends on what you want it for... Sitting in a box blind? Sitting in a bow stand? Sitting on the ground? Walking around?
I use UA Cold Gear 2.0 as a start. I then have a set of UA Tree Stand base layers which is not made anymore. I believe that they are called UA base Extreme now. I use those more often than I thought I would.
When I'm sitting in a box blind, I wear a lot of Carhartt insulated stuff and utilize a buddy heater. But bow hunting, I layer up and I practically own stock in Hot Hands...I hunted some mornings out of state this year that were btwn 9 and 13 degrees. I would use about 10 hot hands on those sits.
I also use Arctic Shield Boot blankets for my feet in a bow stand and toss a hot hand down in each one. Keeps those feet toasty.
I spend plenty of money to hunt and so I try to make the most of it by keeping myself as comfortable as possible.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.
