I have 2 Spartans and love them.
Be sure you know what cell service is the best for your area. I actually chose to go with the Spartans do to Verizon service being the best in my area.

My Covert is great and even better customer service! We use it for trapping hogs and just to watch a feeder. About to get another one.

I have 3 Moultrie Mobile, reasons being is the Verizon plan is simple and easy to set up. The modums are easy to set up. Also, Moultrie cameras have a simple three position switch, on, program off that makes sense. I don’t have to worry about not knowing if the camera is on or off. Moultrie has a battery/solar panel you can buy to run the modums, which are not cheap (85 bucks) but they work and easy mount. Also, I can buy Moultrie from Academy.
I have two set up in the field working. Just viewed pics of turkeys, pigs and little spike buck. I have a third camera and modem still in the box will set it up next week for January pig hunting.
The Verizon plan is monthly, I can turn it off/on when I want too.
Thanks, Billy

We have a couple Bushnells running. Works great if you have AT&T coverage. With the plug in solar panel, batteries can last 6 months.

I have coverts and I’m happy with them. Solar panels and rechargeable batteries are a must. I leave mine running year round and unless there is some unexpected issue (firmware update) I never have to touch them.

I have had 3 Spartan cameras for several years and like them a lot. I use them for security on my ranch. I also put one on scrapes or game trails at times. Pics are sent to my phone within 5-10 secs after taken. All of them are Verizon 3G which will be obsolete at the end of 2019. Verizon is discontinuing 3G networks so I will have to upgrade to cameras that are 4G. So make sure your cameras are not the 3G models if you get one.

Exactly, only get the 4G models coming out. Figure out the best service for your spots. Word is some of them will work on multiple networks when the 4G models are out.

4g LTE has been out for a while. if you have 3g models you can get them upgraded usually at the manufacturer

I have two Spartans and they work great. Add a solar panel and a 6 volt 36 or 48ah battery.
Night pictures are better than day time pics, but I use it mainly for pig hunting and keeping up with what's coming to my feeders.

I have the Spypoint AT&T 4G model, has worked flawlessly. I am 70 miles from my lease but sure makes it nice to see what is showing up at the feeder …...
Don't look for a wish bone where a back bone is needed!!

I use at&t for cell phone. Sometimes I have one bar sometimes two bars for service. Sometimes it says LTE sometimes it’s 4G. Do you think any cellular camera would be reliable?

Just curious. Do ya'll live far from your place of hunting & is that why you have cellular game cameras? I have been thinking about them for awhile but I go to my land (in Coryell County TX from DFW) at least 1 time a month so I could never justify them. But they are so cool!!!!

I have 4 Bushnell cams set up and even though I go to my place 2 or 3 times per month I can plan ahead of time where to hunt, I can stay away from the cams for 6 months ( to change batteries) and I can watch for trespassers.

I have three, two in the field, one still in the box. I decided to go Cell cam a little late in the season. I like them. I live 3 hrs from my lease. Its close to my lake house on Sam Rayburn which I go to quite often, but still two hr round trip to check SD cards on the 4-5 cams I had. I get updates twice a day. By season next year I plan to have at least 4 cell cams running. I will start bass fishing soon and will not be going to the lease as often.
With that said, no matter which cam you get, they are all expensive. I may not leave mine out all year. I may take mine out of the field after Turkey season and not put them back out until Sept. Between the chance of them getting stolen to coons and weather it seems to make sense to me not to leave them out.
It sure is handy to look at trail cam pics when I'm in a meeting at work bored to tears.
Thanks, Billy
