What is a good backpack style bag to look at to put all your stuff into to make walking to the stand a little easier. Would prefer it to be able to hold a bow as well. Thanks for any input

I'm using a couple different Badlands backpacks. I haven't had a problem with either.

Badlands packs are great! Nice variety of sizes and many accommodate a bow or gun. Cabela’s and BassPro usually have several sizes/styles in stock so you can compare them. They have excellent customer service and a lfetime warranty. I have the 2200, Super Fanny Pack, and the Sacrifice. My wife has the Kali.

I use a pack with only one strap. Makes it easier to carry a rifle for me.

if I have too much crap with me that won't fit in my pockets, I use
a cheap daypack I bought from Smokey Mountain Knifeworks
for $5.00 and some change. I always carry my bow or long gun
in my hands. if for some reason I can't get it all that way, I make
2 trips

OLD military shoulder strap bag. Been carrying it for MANY years.

What all do y'all carry in your packs? I normally just have a pocketknife, small flashlight and my gun so I don't use a pack. Then again I'm probably not on stand for more than four hours at the most. If I spent longer I would probably be a walking cafe.

Oh, and a travel mug of coffee.

I used an old camera bag, larger bag one with large main pocket and smaller outside pouches. Can carry ammo, Bono’s, game calls, estrus, knife and anything else. Had a should strap to carry, was perfect till I lost it. Getting another one set up, will need to add a keyfob tracker on the new one.

Thank you for all the input. I’m still undecided. Heck I may end up not getting one at all. Was just thinking about it to make packing in on public land easier, and also make it a little easier if I get to go on a mountain trip next year like I hope to

I just got a 511 rush 24 back pack, at the beginning of the season, so far it’s been a great bag. Lots of pockets. Holding up good so far. I used to have 2 bags. One for deer and one for duck hunting. Always seemed to forget to transfer something from one bag to the next when switching hunting. Now it’s is all in one bag. And still have plenty of room.

That seems like a good pick.

I always carry a backpack with the following: toilet paper, license, zip tie, pocket knife, grunt call, rattle bag, binos, extra set of gloves, thermacell, water, coffee thermos, snacks, phone battery charger, multitool, chapstick, doe piss, eye-glasses, extra ammo...I think that's about it. Sometimes if its hot I'll carry a pull-over for when the sun goes down.

I never thought I would say this but EXO or similar. With this years record rain, I ended up packing out three deer via my back so far. One of them ended up being almost a mile.

I have a little possibles bag. AAA batteries, headlamp, knife, small medical kit(mainly tape and superglue), trioxane, water tablets, waterproof matches, spoon, sea to summit wet wipes, extra release, protein bar, grizzlyline rope

I bought a decent backpack at Academy several years ago that has been pretty versatile. Has nicely padded straps, a large compartment that holds my binoculars, ammo, range finder, gloves, yeti cup, snack tupperware container etc. A medium size front pocket holds my ipad, spare battery and charging cords, and a flashlight. A small front pocket holds my license and some zipties. Mesh pockets on each side hold a can of diet coke and a bottle of water. There are some straps and loops on the sides that could be used to strap on a bow. I'm cheap, so I'm sure I paid $40 or less for this bag, but it seems to be fairly sturdy built and holds all my crap.

Badlands Pursuit, or Badlands Super Day packs work great for me. I also use a Badlands 2200 for out west when carrying a spotting scope.

I have more stuff in my bag than I really need, but I’d rather have it than not have it. Total weight isn’t bad. My old Orvis bag sorta wore out and I couldn’t find anything else that good, so I got a cheap bag at Cabelas. It works Ok, and has enough extra room to hold a good book and my small coffee thermos.

Interesting reading on what all folks take to a blind. Guess I am a minimalist, everything fits in a small fanny pack.

Very good quality and plenty of storage options inside and out. The large outer pocket is just right for a 32 oz tumbler of coffee.

Choctaw, I carry a small flashlight, short piece of rope, plastic bag with toilet paper, lighter, my Dads WW2 Commando knife, a Louis Lamour paperback and my deceased brothers hunting gloves.

I always have a backpack of some sort (SlumberJack or Kuiu). What I am chasing and where will dictate the size. In it I have a Havalon with spare blades, two sets of disposable latex gloves, paracord, two headlamps, 4 AA and 4 AAA batteries, Wal-Mart butt wipes, 1-2 game bags to hold boned-out meat, and snacks and water. Clothing layers may or may not be present depending on the weather.

In addition to the usual items in my pack I have a large square of DayGlo Orange rip stop nylon. I hunt in camo and should I need to be seen I can whip it out. Can also be used to carry stuff, and other uses.
