Nice deer. Losing your deer lease sucks. We lost our old lease a few years ago. My family had been on it for 51 years

One thing you can bank on in life is change. I was very sad the last lease I lost. It turned out to be the best thing that could happen to my hunting experience. I've been hunting on the Pitchfork the last 12 years and never looked back.

Great buck! Hey, losing your lease is better than having about 20 reasons you should get off your current lease (some involving fellow lease mates), but the horns are starting to show real potential.  All things happen for a reason. Stiff upper lip, ol' chap. Something will come your way.

It always works out. I hunted the same 1,000 acres in Young County for 19 years. Got in the stands, watched the feeders, shot the deer. I've learned more, hunted harder, shot better deer, and had more fun since our land owner sold the place. Going to a new place may not always work out, but it did for me. A side benefit, I don't stress about needing to find a new place. I learned how to do that also.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
