Drive east to Boerne. Not great, but better.

If you want semi-fancy-schmanzy, Peggy's on the Green. They have a decent bar. There's not a lot between it and the Whataburger. Hungry Horse is fair, but nothing to write home about. The Cypress Grill is fair, when they want to be open.

The best part of being in either Boerne or Bandera is the traffic.I realize it is non of my business but why would you ever want to spend 2 days in Bandera? I have lived here since 1963 and it is getting to where I don't like it anymore.

What happened to OST?

I haven't been to Bandera in decades, but OST used to be pretty good back then.

It is still here. Looks the same as it did when I moved here in 1963.

Actually one of the better places to eat for lunch is the Camp Verde Store.
