I believe it is a Redfield widefield If it is heavy, it is steel bodied and worth a good penny by itself, there are collectors of the old Redfields

It would actually be better to pull it and sell it separate than the rifle. They are not a great scope but there are collectors who will pay. As a package on a rifle it really adds no value to the rifle unless you find a collector who actually wants that exact rifle as well.

And a magnet should tell you if it’s steel or not.

I don't agree WP, at least for me and the early 80's Redfield was a upgrade at least for my budget at that time. I remember buying a 3-9 low profile and being tickled to death at getting that scope mounted on my rifle. It stay there and never lost zero until I moved up to a 44mm objective lense, wish I still had it, at least I still have the Rifle. But I'll swear they were made strictly made in the USA.

Definitely a Redfield Widefield.
Considered a 'fair' scope back in the day. But certainly not anything special aside from its uniquely shaped lenses.
I am much surprised to hear there are collectors for them...but maybe so.
