Looking at getting one of these to start recording some hunts, anyone have any hands on time with them? I've watched a lot of a YouTube videos from ATN sponsored folks, but would much prefer getting some non-biased thoughts.

Thanks!

ATN is complete garbage the company, the people who work for them, and their products.

Lot of people are really sour on atn because of how the company has over promised their product features and then delayed delivery after repeatedly lieing about when they would deliver.

Look at some videos from Pulsar sponsored folks and you’ll see what we’re talking about.

I had an X sight II so I do not know what the 4k units are capable of but it is still digital night vision. I had no issues with mine but it made me realize thermal was the way to go. ATN customer service is not spoken of very highly either.

If any of this article is true, it’s enough reason to avoid them even if they had the best products in the world.

I agree with the consensus. I would highly suggest the Sightmark Photon RT as an alternative to the ATN X-Sight. I think you'll find the Photons are very popular around THF as the choice for affordable digital NV. Sightmark is known for their excellent customer service and reliable products. The best part is they are here in Texas, so that's a plus too.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the Photons or any other NV.

You can usually find the ATN scopes for less money in Cabela’s Bargain Cave.

This is where most of the customer returns end up going ...

I have one of the scopes but it is the 3-14x I think a lot of people expect it to be more than it is. I love mine. I can record and take pics with it as I am watching deer and during my shots. I do not have to fight an additional camera to get the video.
I like the range finding feature as it moves the reticle with the difference in distance compared to the site-in distance.
It is also nice when I am hunting with the kids as I can see exactly what they see on my tablet and help guide them to the right target and ensure and good shot.
The one shot feature is awesome also. I have my ATN 4k Pro 3-14x on my AR-15 300Bo. I have different profiles for all 3 different types of rounds (110gr, 150gr, and 220gr) I shoot and each is perfectly on target when I switch between them.
I almost forgot.. the scope having Night Vision is icing on the cake. Comes in very handy to take on those varmints that are unwanted. Helps see whats around during those legal but yet hard to see times around dawn and dusk.
The scope is not perfect but it has it place if you understand its features, how to use them, and the limitations. I am happy with my purchase.
Here is a video I took of the first buck I harvested using mine:

Great video SaltyDawg! That buck was dead the minute the bullet hit him but he just didn't know it yet.

I agree that the scope does have it's place. The folks like you who own and use them and haven't had problem are generally very happy with them and can't imagine using anything else. There are some nice benefits over the Photons. It's just what happens if you do have problems, that's when the wheels start to fall off the wagon.

Nice shooting!
