How long can adult quail be kept in shipping box?
Anyone with knowledge? I think they must be left in boxes for 24 to 48 hours when being taken to field trails and maybe longer before being liberated.
Thanks for any help.

We've picked them up on Friday and used them on Sunday.

Slice up a couple big oranges and put in the box with them, it will give them the water and food they need. helps a lot. Forrest

Slice up a couple big oranges and put in the box with them, it will give them the water and food they need. helps a lot. Forrest Or just throw a head on iceberg lettuce in there.

The greens help the dogs smell the birds. Especially hunting dead.

My transport cages have a place for food, and water.
Never kept them in there for more than 2-3 days.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
