Mountains of Brewster county. 40° slopes up, and down. Loose rock, two men, rifles, packs, cooler. Once we climbed up 1500' with an additional 200 pounds of corn. It never let me down. There are some two track roads that look pretty scary, but the Mule should be called a mountain goat, there. It handled everything I threw at it. Drove a total of 100 miles on two track roads, and went through about 7 gallons of diesel. On the down hill, I had to two foot it. One on brake, one on throttle to get the transmission brake to kick in, so we weren't a run-a-way. It held us a 1 to 2 mph headed down hill.

Another lessee told me he was impressed by it a month prior. He tried climbing one of those mountains on his souped up, over sized tire Razor and halfway, it just wouldn't make it up. He had to turn around and head back. He said he was going to sell that Razor and get a Mule Pro, like mine.

My 2016 DX has been great but the plastic is beginning to act like plastic. If you run them in the rough stuff be prepared to do some repairs and alterations. Wonderful machines but not as tough as the old Mule's were.
