I really like wool shirts. Quality ones. Along with merino wool base layer i am good to go. Cant stand jackets heavier than a light one. I cant shoot with heavy jackets. And gripswell gloves insulated. I can feed shells and shoot just as well as with no gloves

Yep and bib overalls and a flannel shirt. This if it is still and calm....if the wind is over 8 mph I'd be wearing a bed, blanket, and pillow.....don't hate them that bad anymore....

I have the heaviest available Polartec top and bottoms ( they don’t make union suits) and they work fine with a flannel shirt and thin down vest in Kansas in January.

Thick pants. Couple t shirts and a wool shirt. Wool socks. Good boots. Soft leather gloves. Warm hat. Hoodie. Light jacket if no wind. Light down jacket if windy. Neck warmer. Keep moving and don't sweat. If you do sweat, take off the bottom t shirt and and one more layer. Polypropylene long johns with insulated pants, wool shirt with a Wall's jacket. Same poly sock liners with wool socks and high top boots. Gloves, depend on the action, but usually a pair of nylon glove liners with wool gloves and kangaroo hide outers. If I am along for the walk and don't care about shooting I have some military surplus mittens that will keep my fingers toasty warm all day long.
Combat Infantryman, the ultimate hunter where the prey shoots back.

Either wool long johns, or hot chillys base layer.
I don't like wearing anything bulky. So with those I don't have to.
