Headed down to the coast early Friday Morning to hunt. Based on Fridayís crazy wind forecast which spot would you hunt:

Spot A - Shoreline on the edge of a rice field with open water for miles in front of me. This spot offers no protected water and will be taking full brunt of the wind. Never hunted here but looked promising when scouting

Spot B- Bend on a channel which has one side fully exposed to wind and another side thatís slightly protected. Definitely off the X but usually kill a few ducks here every hunt. Best hunt we have ever had here was actually a few years back during a similar high wind weather event

Getting to either spot safely is not an issue. Greatly appreciate any feedback on the spots or just other general high wind tactics or tips

B - slightly protected, killed birds there before, and will probably be a spot they come to in order to get out of the bad weather.

both, but that's the main reason...spots can look promising and never produce. Go where there are ducks...also, they'll be at B based upon your description.

I agree. Iíd still agree, even if you hadnít previously killed ducks at this spot.

The best way for you to make the choice yourself. Flip a coin with spot A being heads, and B being tales. When you flip that coin and see heads or tails, your own reaction to whatever the coin lands on will tell you what spot you want to hunt.

I would key on protected water and only use dekes with weighted keels.
