I bought a Spypoint Link - Evo cellular camera back in August. I put the camera out and paid for several months of cell service up front through Verizon. That being said, the camera worked great until November 15th. The camera lost contact with the cell provider at the worst possible time. So, I think maybe the batteries are dead. I make time and drive three hours out to the lease to discover the batteries are fine. The camera is also still taking pics but not transmitting them. Then I get a text from Spypoint saying the network is down but will soon be back up. Days go by with no updates and no service. I notice the Spypoint App on my phone has a live help option. I click the help button and type out a question asking when will my service be turned back on. Amazingly enough, I get almost an immediate response, saying their techs are on it. I'm assured the issue will be fixed soon. That pretty much satisfied me. So I wait for several more days with nothing happening. I go back to the app and ask for an update. The response says they are having problems with all providers and not just Verizon. I asked how they will compensate for the lost days and was told they will extend my service. Once again. I'm satisfied and wait for the problem to be resolved.

So its now December 9th and the camera is still not transmitting photos. I was told to reset the camera to factory settings which I did and nothing. I'm wondering if anyone else is using Spypoint Cellular camera's and are experiencing the same problem. It's very aggravating.

I have a few of them and also have some buddies with some as well. We have had issues with a few of them. After numerous calls, messages, etc I feel like I have a pretty good handle on how to get them fixed. Take out the SIM card and the put it back in. If that doesn’t work, then try the reset. Very frustrating to have cameras like that that don’t work when you need them to. One of those should fix it.

I had a link-s go down in similar fashion. Had a "Modem error" message. They sent me a new one.
You are correct, it sucks big ones being that far away and having it stop on you.

I have a link-s and have had it go "dark" on me a couple times. The screen will just not come on and do anything. Have to pull the batteries and leave it sitting a couple days for the residual charge to die off and eventually the screen will come back on. Pretty frustrating to say the least. I will say when I called them about it the first time they ended up extending the free service for 60 days.

I use Bushnell wireless trail cams and they show the battery strength, SD card capacity etc on their app and they email and/or text when batteries are low or SD card is getting full. Energizer Lithium batteries last 6 months and setting can be changed from the app so I don't go near them but 2x a year....

I have a link-evo and use a 12V battery source instead of AA's...I have found out the plug in for the 12V cable is loose and will randomly shut off the camera. A quick wiggle and its back to working for a short time until it decides again to not work. Quite aggravating. I am going to the ranch this weekend and will likely take it down. Will call and ask about replacement. Silly I cant use it for more than a few days. might need to get more cuddelink cameras as those at least work and send me good pics, problem is they are expensive. But having all the cams on one cell plan would save me money in the long run,
