I've never heard of being able to do that towards current year hunts, just by using the application process. There used to be a hunt code if you just wanted a point to apply towards the following year, but haven't looked at that for some time.

Don't know if there is a private land work around thru an outfitter tho, never looked in to that, but know guys that use a LO voucher to buy a tag.

Quick call to DOW will set you on course tho, pretty good CS in my experience when calling.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't able to find anything in their brochure, either. Some states you can purchase additional points, but don't see that for Colorado!

I’m not aware of any state that allows you to purchase additional points. Just the one each year. I only keep up with a handful of western states, though.

Actually, there are several that offer point purchasing on certain animals. fFor example, Maine you can purchase points for moose hunts!

Many units you can draw a ML tag with zero points. Also many that end up with left over/turned back in tags.

To buy a PP for following hunt year or accumulation is $3 plus a few fees, if I remember correctly
Gohunt is a great resource
