I was out there all last week from Saturday to Saturday. Start of the week was real slow and deer were not moving at all. Towards the end of the week it really picked up and some bucks seemed to start chasing a little. It looks like it may warm up again this week and then cool down next week s the rut could be really on then. I am hoping so as i am headed back out next Thursday. We are in the Northeastern part of the county for what it is worth.
We're in the NW corner of the county and went last Tuesday-Saturday. Saw plenty of does but only a couple small bucks come around. Also saw out in the distance one buck chasing a couple of does. Hope to be back out in a couple of weeks.
Titan232, be careful feeding cottonseed this time of year. It has been know to make some bucks sterile and not able to produce because of the gossypol that is in it. After the rut and every other time it is fine but i would not feed it right now.

Not currently feeding enough to do any harm. Only putting out a couple hundred pounds every 3-4 weeks as an attractant.
Was at our lease in juno for Thanksgiving week, plenty of deer movement but most were still on feeding pattern and not worried about the does. Saw a few young bucks chasing and fighting, but the older bucks were not moving much at all. Trip was not a total bust though, I killed a hog, my dad shot a nice 10pt, and I was able to get my nephew on his first aoudad and he did his part by making a perfect shot @ 470yrds with my 6.5 creedmoor custom built by butch's guns in Woodward Oklahoma.
I am headed out tomorrow AM for the weekend. Friday is not looking good b/c of rain but you never know as it always tends to miss us in our part of the county. The moon is right and the cold weather is a plus so looking forward to it. Only bad part is the majority of our stands have the feeder facing south of the stand and we are suppose to have a north wind all weekend.

No chasing going on at my ranch. Big bucks are nocturnal, according to my game cams. This youngster was at one of my feeders, VERY early. He was in good shape, until hit by a 143 Gr. ELD-X bullet, then a rock flop.

With the moon and the weather things are definitely heating up, my covert cam had only shown does and young bucks till this week. All of a sudden the older class bucks are showing up like crazy, hopefully it only gets better. We are planning on heading out that way Wednesday of next week.....here are a few that have shown up in last couple days..

Activity was great yesterday with 10 in the am and 16 in the pm. So far 13 this morning but slow. I believe the wind is making a difference. Did see middle age class bucks chasing yesterday afternoon.
Nailed this fellow on the 14th at 3:30 P.M. Cameras showing nocturnal and early afternoon feeding with bachelor bucks and does feeding together. Been watching a young 10 point, who is now a 9, so some fighting is going on. Very strange conditions for me? I cannot say that the true rut is on...

Well it took a few days of passing on some decent bucks, but I finally got it done!!!! 5 1/2 year old dropped in his tracks at 330 yards rough scored him at 152.5

That's a really nice buck. I'm running an "experiment" and was curious of the inside spread if you don't mind me asking? Thanks
