My wife and I moved into our new home a few months ago in Hockley, TX and I have affectionately nicknamed it "The Squirrel Preserve". Due to having several large Walnut trees in our yard, we typically have dozens of squirrels around our property each day. These are a few pics I was able to snap this week....

Have fun, they can be awful when you have to many. You sure those are walnut trees? I would guess they are hickory.

2-3 quarts chicken stock, a teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of pepper

Dumplings:

2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup vegetable shortening or butter
½ cup cold milk
