What is your favorite game meat to eat? I love Elk, Nilgai, Axis and Whitetail. I shot an Oryx this past weekend because I have heard nothing but great things about the meat. Your thought? Favorite recipe?

The Scimitar Oryx I killed was excellent, so good that I am going to shoot a regular Oryx to eat and balance out the mounts on the wall. Very good grilled, CFS, burger, sausage etc.

Scimitar Oryx, cow elk, and feral pig are the best game meats I've ever eaten and I've had a lot of them.

Well that all reassuring going to pick him and two does up from the processor tomorrow. Gonna eat good for a while. Going to shoot axis fallow and more whitetail on the 28th. Thinking 8-10 more for the freezer and we should be set.

i would have to say sandhill crane, axis deer, and doves. whitetails and green wing teal are great also. i kind of like all wild game meat for their different flavors.

I ate Oryx in South Africa, and it was marvelous. The best thing we had over there, and perhaps the best I've ever had was Impala Pie, made by the lady who owned the first place we stayed, That may be because she is a great cook, though.

I love pheasant, and that used to be our traditional Christmas Eve meal. It's all good.

I shot a Japanese Sika buck this year and that meat is the best I've had in the last 10 years. I recall Nilgai being fantastic but I've not had it in 20 years.
