Nightforce just released images of their new tree reticle. It looks like a mix of mild and horus h59 which is fitting since NF now owns horus.

I agree I think I might have to try one of these in a 7-35.

That looks useful. Busy, but not too busy. Now all a fellow has to do is read the wind.

That makes my eyes go cross eyed! If I had to use that reticle for hold overs, it would be challenging and slow me way down. I am not a fan of the whore house (Horus) reticles.
But, you are either a fan of them or not. I know shooters who can run them well.

Chad does bring up a valid point, and that point gets more important as light fades. I have a TMR reticle on a 6.5-20 Leupold, and it’s great in all but dim light. Then any kind of holdover is nearly impossible. Luckily it’s on my 220 Swift, which is about as flat shooting as it gets, which makes holdover inside of 400 not so tough. On at 200 and down only 5 inches at 300 and 15 at 400.

It’s easy enough to read, and I could definately make it work, but it’s a little too busy for me, as well. For hunting, anyway. Looks about right for the range.

Personally I rarely pure hold anything past 400 yards, which is down around 1.5 to 2.0 Mils depending on the rifle. 2.0 Mols down, and you can still graph your windage line down pretty accurately. I do practice pure holds out to 800, very frequently, and I teach everyone that comes out with me for the day how to do it. Shooting targets, or animals past 400, I am going to dial, 99% of the time. However, there's plenty of match stages, where speed is needed, and a reticle that allows for very precise holds for elevation and wind is handy.
I'll reserve judgment until I get to look through it, on a range, not an internet pic. But I can say Nightforce heeded the internet chatter that was asking for this very reticle, ever since the Mil-C came to market. I have had it since April 2017 and am never disappointed in it.

Mil-C on mine. I was going to go with the H59 but went with the Mil-C on a recommendation by others. NF is good stuff. Buy once, cry once.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I would like it in the 5-25 or 7-35 for long range play on a purpose-built rifle. Would be hell on a prairie dog town. Still like the simplicity of the Mil-R for general mid-range hunting in the 4-16 F1 platform.

Love that reticle! No way I put it on a hunting rifle of mine. But for a long range plinker, it is a state of art reticle.

Looks a lot like the H59, i had a Busnell XRS with the H39 and its very similar. I get distracted easily so it was way too busy for me. Was like yelling squarel to a dog lol. Sold it and bought a ERS with the G2 reticle. Still has some holds but no where near as busy.
