Well we’re are going to be closing soon on another sixty acres at our cabin but this one has a 14 acre marsh on it for duck hunting so I want a boat to run around on it and a motor to be able to knock the weeds out of it for this year.

Camo is done and the trailer is adjustade to fit the boat. Now waiting on fedex to bring my motor then I will mount the seats.

Look what finally showed up. 6hp longtail frOm backwater inc. they were great to deal with ready to see how it runs. They had it shipped to me in two days.

I went with a backwater inc to get a Honda motor they have been great to deal with so far. Got it mounted and she started on the first pull.

So we built this boat for a couple reasons. The marsh has a big blind on one end in the middle and now way to really hunt the other end or sides. Plus with the last year it has not been taken care of and was over grown with tons of grass and weeds. There one only one open area with enough water where ducks would go. So we put the longtail on the boat to go out and cut up all the grass and weeds to open the water up. Dad spent all weekend down there driving around in the marsh and it looks great now. The creek that feeds it sure helped with current to push all the weeds out after he had them cut up.
Him and his buddy managed to get a few ducks too.
