We need a location with an airport, last year we did Cadillac Creek Outfitters in Amarillo. Hunt was pretty good 1 day and we weren’t on the X on the second day and it was weak. We are fine going back there but wanted to see what the recommendations are around there again or maybe down in Lubbock.
Would have >6 guys coming in from Denver, Vegas, Idaho and the rest of us will drive from Dallas.
Thanks.

Haven't heard how it is around Rule these day in the peanut fields, but have killed a bunch around there in the past. Lots of guys would fly into Abilene
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

I have had some great crane and dove hunts with Crooked Wing Outfitters out of Lubbock. I know they also do well with geese. I would definitely recommend them.

Tejas sold out to some snowgoose outfitters guys from Minnesota. We are completely booked for the season in Haskell. Honestly In the middle of season you’ll be hard up to find an open date. If there’s a weekend open there’s probably a reason.
I would recommend reaching out to one of my old guides derek Mcdaniels he works for crooked wing now. If they do have an opening you should snag it He’s the one you want to hunt with if you gonto lubbock. 1 (817) 458-1945

I can’t make our hunt in two weeks with them, but Ruben didn’t say anything about selling out. We’ve had stellar hunts with him and his guides the last 10 years. Guess I will wait for the field reports weekend after next.

Thanks for the recommendation and I would use him again.

Great to hear. I ended up having to back out of our annual trip with Tejas in Janaury as the bride had ... I kid you not, a "respiratory virus of unknown origin" with a 6 month old and closing/moving into a new home a few days later, hunting was out of the question. Our group got limits of crane, but were disappointed in no geese.
May investigate a new guide for next year.
