I'll be hunting the public axis hunt at Garner in January, where would the nearest feed store be located?

Which direction are you coming in from? There are 2 feed stores in Hondo, one in Sabinal and a couple in Uvalde.

Morales Feed in Leakey if you're coming in from the north.

If you're coming from the north on hwy 83, stop at Garvens store. Best jerky around. Beer, fire and ice pickles, bbq, deer corn, etc. Neat place

I"ll be coming from the east.
Sounds like Sabinal is most convenient.

Sabinal or Leakey

In either case I would call ahead to verify.

Garven’s has some great jerky, and homemade snacks, unfortunately they don’t carry deer corn. Stopped in there couple weeks ago looking for some. Most gas stations along 90 carry corn, if not those grocery stores have some. Enjoy the scenery it’s beautiful around concan/Leakey.

T, are you hunting the first or second hunt? I was drawn for the first one and will be there. If you can't find what you are looking for pm me. I plan on getting some alfalfa at my local feed store before heading down and can grab you what you may need. If nothing else hit me up and we can have a beer or two one night.

John
