I might have done better if the first boar wasn't more than 1000 yards away, during 700 of which I could not see it. By the time I got to where he had been he was gone.

The next two boars were much closer. Both were killed with the benefit of the moon not being up yet and favorable winds. I also had the advantage of a noisy pumpjack covering my approach on one of them.
