I hunt in Runnels and occasionally Taylor, both neighboring counties, several members hunt in Coke county to the south of Nolan county. But off the top of my head, I can't think of any that hunt in Nolan county.

A quick search of "Nolan" produced a lot of hits, that will give you some info.

That’s where I hunt. In Maryneal. Just got back from there and got lucky and shot a 14 pt. I was pretty darn excited!

My lease is SE of Sweetwater off the Maryneal "loop". That buck that duk shot is an exception to the deer found in that area. Low density numbers and not really huge deer, imo. Occasionally there might be a decent buck taken.

Our place has a running creek which lures in a few hogs. Lots of turkeys etc. In the 4 yrs I have been out there I have not placed my hands on any antlers. Wife shot at a old 8 a couple yrs ago and had a bad shot. We lost that deer.

Last yr I was on another lease just north of Dos Plumas hunting ranch(also Nolan county). That place has low deer herd but if you want hogs that lease was the place, one could about step on hogs on that place. Covered in hogs and turkey. I have heard just to the east near Blackwell and in Coke County the deer for what ever reason are much better. A few guys off this forum hunt that area and kill some really nice bucks, hogs etc.

Oh and this yr I still haven't even been to the lease. Best of luck to everyone.
