My 15 year old son and I are looking and we are new to hunting deer. Willing to pay a little but will only go about 5 times this year.

leases that close in to the Austin metro area are few and far between. Good luck with your search and welcome to the THF welcome

edit: I have seen some day lease type hunts at the Indian Mound Ranch between Liberty Hill and Seward Junction. I don't have a point of contact, but I know they have a Facebook page if that would be something you might be interested in since you will only be going out a few times.

I live in Leander and sell hunts at my ranch between Lampasas and San Saba.

As far as finding a lease you will probably need to know someone who knows someone. I've hunted as little as 4 acres in Florence and killed nice bucks. And 100 acres in Briggs that was 95% open pasture. Just have to make connections...Then the lease is usually free.
