Good pictures, do y'all have a hunting season for them in your county?

I was down in southern Mexico not far from Oaxaca and drove past a lot of houses (and I use that term loosely) where they were keeping them as pets. Anyway, they appeared to be treating them as pets rather than dinner.

Friend of mine has one south of town, the mother got run over on 87 and had two little ones hanging around, he caught them both.

General North Zone season with a limit of two per year. We leave them alone here on the big ranch, they don't hurt anything nor cause any damage that I can see. Feral hogs are a different story.

Nice pics. Have you ever seen them interact with hogs? I've always wondered if they ignore each other or if one group is aggressive towards the other.

Years ago I was hunting on a deer lease, sitting in a tripod by a feeder in archery season.
A pretty good sized boar hog came in and started feeding. I was thinking about shooting the boar, then a javelina came in. The javelina fed together, then the javelina got behind the boar, mounted it, and dry humped it for a few seconds. I decided to shoot the javelina, because I had never harvested one. I made a good shot, and when I found it, it was a female javelina.
