Got a chance to try out the S&B Polar T96 4-16 x 56 scope. I was looking for a lightweight FFP mil/mil scope for hunting and it checked all the boxes. To say I’m pleased is an understatement.
* 56mm obj
* 34mm tube
* P4 reticle with illuminated central crosshairs
* .1mrad ccw turrets with locking lever
* 23.5 oz
* 15 inches

Glass quality is out of this world. On par with the Tangent theta when I was shooting them side by side. Tracked flawlessly out to 800 yds. Eye relief was good. No tunneling. Paralllax wasn’t finicky. Turrets not quite as crisp as I’d like esp compared to TT and not a toolless rezero but oh well.

Can’t believe they crammed all this in a 23.5 oz scope.

Not in their Polar line.

My schmidt was cheaper than a nf option but better glass.......

I did not expect the lower price than NF.

It's not common to an extent. The non MTC turret scopes are pretty reasonable these days and in the same ballpark. Downside is the reticle selection as there is really only one non horus that I care for h2cmr if you want a horus it's a hefty up charge. On a side note nightforce owns horus now and still charges a nice increase in its equipped optics. They also just released a mil c with what looks like a very similar to h59 tree underneath it.
