Spent the weekend at the lease with my daughter and her college room mate. Weather was great until the wind on Sunday but had a great time anyway. Deer movement was slow, maybe the full moon, week of hunting pressure from other members and my bad luck all combined. I did smack some hogs with the thermal, only got a pic of one as the others ran off and I wasnt in the mood to chase on to the neighbors property.

Take no notice of the beverage!

This yote came in close, I wasnt zoomed in as you can see my window in the bottom right of the pic. She stood there long enough to get some video and a couple pics. Really never ran off, just trotted to the trees about 30 yards away and turned for another look.

Camp and the "Bullet" I sleep in. Best $400.00 bucks ever spent!

This boar was pretty big but no real cutters to speak of.

The next pics are of the "artifact" maybe???. This place is covered in mostly sand and rocks are few and far between. This stood out but it looks tooled on the sharp end. Any experts want to venture a guess whether its a tool or just a rock? If so, what would one say it is? My brother said maybe a butted stone axe but wasnt sure.

Good times......Looks like a scraper to me. I've found a bunch near the Guadalupe. See if it'll skin a deer. Mine will, better than steel, and never need sharpening. It's definitely been worked by human hands. Cool find.

Looks like a scraper to me too....I have several picked up from my grandparents ranch on the cowhouse creek in Hamilton county.

That yote should be dead.... whip

Yeah I drew my pistol but the ladies were not going to let that happen. Next trip I'll be by myself and the yote wont get a pass. Thanks for the info on the scraper, my artifact knowledge is limited but I knew it had been tooled for sure.
