Besides aggressively hunting the fencelines (Just Kidding), what are some of the successful strategies you are incorporating this season to increase your deer sightings and ultimately harvests???

Totally dependent on the property....water? feeding areas? bedding areas? major trails? heavily wooded? open prairie? cropland?

Food plots and corn feeders that are fenced to keep the hogs away.

Scent free toothpaste.

Simple. Provide what the surrounding properties do not. In my case it's multiple water sources, food plots, and an abundance of corn.
And low pressure.

Make sure you can get to and from your stand(s) without disturbing the deer. I have a small (200 acres) bow lease close to my house that hunts even smaller, and this is what works best for me. The first couple of years I had stands that were in good spots, but the deer would bust me either going in or coming out, and I didn't see much sitting in either of those stands. I rearranged things so I can park and walk in/out to each stand depending on the wind direction. I 100% let the wind decide which stand I hunt. And I never leave the stand until the deer have left, even if it means sitting there for a long time in the dark.

Although I've quit doing it since I have a lease, on my little place I fed year-round for many years; a mix of corn, milo and other stuff - whatever fits your budget. Plus, keep a trace mineral block by the feeder. I think lots of different kind of game coming to the feeder sends a message out to bucks in the area. 'Might be silly, but that's my theory. Check your cameras in October and be ready to drop the hammer early, before they go roaming around onto the neighbors.

Food plots. Planted oats in several fields around the property. I have yet to go out on a hunt and not see a deer. Just got the place earlier this year - pretty sure I'm sucking all the deer away from my neighbor who also hunts

This plus several mineral/salt licks. Had blocks at one and loose material in a trough at the other, after they got used to them they would empty the loose stuff and there was a hole where the blocks were. Also like others have said make sure you can get in and out without bumping the bucks. And leave a safe zone that you never go into unless you are trailing a wounded animal.

Wait until the neighbors get bored and start 4 wheeling their pastures. In other words, be in the blind when they scare the deer out of their pasture into yours. :

Water, food (feeders, food plots, and native plants). I eliminated all the improved grass and took it back to the savannah and prairie grasses that are supposed to be here. Something walks into it and disappears. I do prescribe burns on an annual basis, units that cover the whole of my place every six years. This alone has changed my place for the deer and all the other critters, a change that my neighbors will never be able to compete with because they are scared to death of fire. I even became a prescribed burn manager. I stopped mowing my fencelines. I want the deer to walk out of my thick brush and grass and stop and look at that parking lot that the neighbors call a pasture. I see it every day, the deer stop, think about it and turn around.

I stopped feeding corn in the evenings. I feed at daybreak and at noon. I feed enough for the deer to clean up everything by dark. I can hear my neighbor's feeder rattling away in the evening, and they tell me that they do not see any deer only loads of hogs. Duh! I see deer all day long since I've made this change. Haven't seen a hog while deer hunting in two years now. I know they are around, they are always hit on my Farm to Market.

Mainly, since I've knuckled down to the basics, I don't give a rip what my neighbors do anymore. I've got my chit right & tight, and the wildlife knows it.

I live on my 120 acres.

I hunt on 7 acres that borders with a high game fence on one side. I focus on two funnel points that deer cross the property from the river bottom to a heavily brushed holding area on an adjacent property. Key points are wind direction and using one route into and out of stands. I get in the stand an hour before daylight and don’t leave until an hour after dark. Mineral blocks bring the deer within bow range, hogs don’t seem to bother them as much as corn. Experimenting this year with placing mineral blocks in feeding troughs about waist high this year because of the high water this year. Does are just now finding them. Haven’t seen a mature buck come to them yet but they follow the doe. Best times have been dark nights with drizzle or foggy conditions at daybreak. Consistently see 10-20 deer move through the area each sit. 4 day doe season and antler restrictions make it difficult to harvest a quality buck, but occasionally get an 8 point.

I hunt 54 acres in east Tx. You arent going to hold deer, so you have to offer them enough of what they are looking for to make your property part of their main territory. I've got a buddy who hunts on 30 acres and hasn't established much of a program the last few years and he ONLY has deer coming in the middle of the night. You need cover, water, multiple food sources, and a whole lot of luck

I'm the guy on the other side of the fence from a small narrow property that a guy recently started hunting after it was unhunted for years.
I'm hunting a powerline that runs east and west as does his fence, probably 150 yards from where he set up his feeder.
He told me at the end of last season he was going to feed year around and setup a protein feeder.
I figured that was great news and no need for me to spend my money on corn if he was already going to go all in with the feed, and I've so far only bought about 100# of corn just to feed the roads when I'm there.
So far I've seen about the same, or maybe a little more than I saw last year.
He's pretty much stuck watching his feeder while I've got the luxury of hunting several different blinds and knowing that he's keeping the deer in the area.

Ok, so sounds like you like/don't like your small acreage hunting neighbor. Guess this is a sarcastic response to my question...Appreciated.

Ive got 53 acres in hood county I bow hunt. It is close to some residential homes but there is a funnel where the deer come onto property across a neighboring field. The property is 2/3 heavy brush so we set two feeders in thicker parts and run them twice a day.

My advice is like the others don't disturb the entire property by walking around alot. During hunting season I just walk to stand and back to truck that is all.

Lots of food

No activity till its killing the one you want and like others said make sure you can get in/out without disturbing the whole place.

On small places start with this. Mr.T is spot on.

The bigger your feeder pens the better, 10 16' panels bare minimum, I'd suggest 14 - 16, using one panel cut in half to make at least one gate, two is better.
Fenced food plots using materials suitable to keep pigs out. IMO small food plots are not worth the effort, 1 acre bare minimum up to as much as you can afford to fence & plant/maintain. I know a few that own 30 - 60 acres that have 15 - 20 acres of fenced food plots.
The above done right is expensive and worth every penny if you own the place or have a long term lease.

When you get serious about it and commit the time effort & resources necessary you'll have good results unless you're just flat in the wrong area. Which you should determine before buying or leasing the property or starting the project.

On small tracts pigs are your worst enemy if you want to attract and or hold more deer.

I disagree about activity, I see many deer daily just going about normal stuff. None of the deer on any of the places I frequent pay much attention.
