I know the biggest rule here is to stay still, but what is y'alls go to for temporary blinds? I really like the Avian-X A frame blinds, but they are extremely out of my price range. I have a layout blind, but I can't use that everywhere I go. Do y'all make a little brush blind? Or does anyone have a cheaper way of making an A frame blind that can be transported like the Avian-X? I'll be hunting all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas this year, so I need to make something that can work in all three. I'd really appreciate some feedback and tips on what y'all would recommend! Thanks!

I use Avery RealGrass mats when I walk in. Just have to cut trees or something to make corners of the blind, but the material is stretchy on the top and easily holds to a small stick without falling off. I can pack 4 sheets of it in on my sled, along with everything else. 4 sheets is enough to hide myself and my pup, or another person. It's not really any better than making a brush blind when material is available, but hunting sparse cover it saves a ton of time not having to cut and move more material.
With the water so high recently we've been hunting a lot of flooded fields, and the cover is very sparse, like flooded soybean fields almost. The mats have absolutely been worth limits of ducks, because I was able to hide out in the middle of the fields away from the treelines, where material was just unavailable to other hunters.
To specifically answer your question, if you wanted to you could zip tie some T posts or something to the sides of the real grass mats, and have them ready to just plug and play that way, it just makes it heavier if you're walking in.

Bamboo poles might accomplish the same without the added weight....

Well looks like I'll be on the lookout for some bamboo poles for myself then.

When needed, I have a PVC setup I use. Easily straps up with a bungee and fits in my sled. I can attach reeds or brush or grass mats.
