Favorite granddaughter’s boyfriend (aka PGSiL, as in Potential Grandson in Law), never hunted before, or shot a rifle, but he and the grandkid told me that they wanted to pig hunt when they visited. No problem. I just stayed away from my most pig infested feeder for a week to relieve any hunting pressure. The kids showed up yesterday morning and I spent an hour or so familiarizing them with the 223 - loading, unloading, safety, and shooting. I had already adjusted the scope for the 60 gr Partition, and both of the kids shot great on the targets. Walked em to the blind and told them the feeder was set for 5:15. At about 5:25, BOOM, and some squealing. The PGSiL took the shot and dropped the hog (80ish pound stinking boar) on the spot. He was really happy and excited and is looking forward to the next visit and wants to shoot a deer now.

Complete passthrough with the Partition, and a new hunter on board. The new hunter, the PGSiL, is a great young man and is studying Civil Engineering at Texas Tech. He and the grandkid drank all my beer later in the evening, but that’s Ok. i’m Happy.
