We havenít seen much to any rut activity on our place near Gatesville. Anyone seeing a lot of activity ? Been here every weekend and nothing. So donít think I missed it by being gone.

I live in Copperas Cove and have noticed bucks chasing the last few weeks in my neighborhood.

Deer activity in general has been awful this year for us. I saw a little activity last weekend in evant and more obvious activity the closer I got to Goalthwaite. Personally, I think what little rut there was has already happened but we typically see a second rut mid to late December

We also hunt near Gatesville (and have for the last 30 years) and have had not observed anything near a normal rut this season (yet). Hoping for better results in December...definitely watching for any incoming cold fronts (!)
