Most of y'all have seen my trip pics with Jenna but this time I took my youngest daughter Logan who is 5 on her first hunting trip to the lease this week and she had a blast. Jenna didn't want to go and said she needed her space from Logan I had a wedding to go to Saturday in Houston and returned back home Sunday to pick up Logan from her Grandparents and head to the deer lease. We hit the road and before long she was passed out as usual. We stopped by my Papa's house around 8 that evening for a quick visit before heading to deer camp. The best part of the trip was her spending time with her Great Grandpa who turned 90 on the 1st as we came in everyday to have breakfast and let her play with her grandma too who has been helping my Papa with dr visits and house stuff. We got up early Monday morning and headed to our spot. As soon as it got light enough to see we had pigs at my South feeder and they made quick work of the corn before heading into the brush but they were headed towards my main bow feeder so I got into position. I didn't see a large boar so I found the biggest sow in the bunch and waited for a smaller boar to get in front in hopes of a couple and dropped both under the feeder. After about 30 minutes or so we had 2 black boars at my North feeder. Got everything moved around in the blind and waiting for them to get side by side in hopes of another double. I dropped the closest one under the feeder but the other one took off. We packed up our things and headed towards the North feeder to look for signs of the other boar. I start following a trail that I thought it might have taken and within about 20 yards or so I see a drag mark across another trail about 4-5 feet long. Walk a little farther and another drag mark and then about 10 yards to the left it had turned and ended up under a cedar. Two doubles is not a bad way to start Logan's first hunting trip a few more pics from our first sit together. coming back up the hill after swapping camera cards. We had a great hunt that evening with as many as 17 deer at one point all around us and even saw a fox. Had a sow and piglets cross the road as we were driving to the end of the road before corning it and getting in the blind. The next morning was a frosty 27 degrees with little activity compared to the evening before. I decided to just carry in a bag of corn this time instead of driving all the way in and had a couple of deer at my North feeder as we walked in. Shortly after passing the feeder and I started to pour out some corn the doe came back into the road behind us. Yesterday evening was very exciting with as many as 23 deer all around us between feeders and road corn. The best deer was a nice wide 8pt and a mature 6pt along with several smaller bucks. As light was fading there was a mature 5pt at my North feeder and a smaller 8 in the road on the corn we poured out. Just before dark another boar came into the feeder. With light fading I got into position quickly and dropped it under the feeder. This morning was our last hunt before heading back home for Thanksgiving and we had 6 does/fawns at my South feeder early before a group of turkeys came in. It was perfect timing as we hadn't seen any turkey this trip and I told my MIL I was going to bring her a wild turkey for Thanksgiving This was my first turkey. The last few days have been a true blessing and I am thankful my girls want to go hunting with their dad. Not sure if Jenna will want to go back with me after Thanksgiving. If she doesn't Logan might be making another trip to finish off the week

Excellent pictures and better memories. Two doubles in one sitting is pretty cool too.

Thanks again guys. I think Logan took in the whole experience more than Jenna has. Just got back and will post Jenna's trip later.
